The Rehabilitation Counseling Program has a limited
number of Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) competitive
scholarships available.
There are two types of RSA scholarships:
- full-time, on-campus scholarships, and
- part-time, distance education scholarships for
state vocational rehabilitation (VR) counselors
Full-time, on-campus students may apply for scholarships
awarded each year to first-year students or scholarships awarded to
second-year students (1st semester only). Full-time,
on-campus scholarship applications must be received no later than June
30th.
Part-time, distance students may apply for one of several scholarships.
These scholarships are only available to students who work as
counselors for state VR agencies.
All RSA scholarships require a time payback of 2 to 1. That is, if you
receive funding for a year as a half-time student, you must work one
year (1/2 x 2) to pay back the funding.
To apply for these scholarships, please contact the Rehab program
Advisor/Secretary at 435-797-3246 or
rehab@usu.edu.
You will be notified of receipt by Rehab program staff or faculty.
