The Rehabilitation Counseling program offers its courses on-campus and as synchronous courses over the Internet. On and off campus students will need access to a computer that meets the following minimum requirements.

• Microsoft® Windows XP™ + Service Pack 2 (or later)
• 2 GHz "Pentium" or equivalent CPU
• RAM (System memory) - 512MB (1GB suggested)
• Sound card and speakers / headphones
  TIP: Because student microphones (used in some classes) may be "quiet" you should get speakers that have a volume control.
• Microphone/headset combo suitable for web conferencing. ^*
• High speed DSL or cable internet. (If high speed internet is not available in your area, contact us.)

Students will also need to have the following software installed:

• Internet Explorer™ 7 (or later)
  (Internet Explorer is required for some pre-recorded course videos. Any browser may be used to access the Rehab Program and Banner websites.)
• Sun Java™ - browser plugin
• Adobe Flash™ browser plugin
• Windows Media Player® v. 8 or later.
• Adobe® Acrobat Reader™ 7 (or later)

Students will need to install additional plugins before their first connection to the live classroom. These plugins should automatically download and install under an administrator login
